I moved from Godaddy to Namecheap
Namecheap are No.1 in domains.

Namecheap provide lifetime domain privacy for free. They have easy user interface and very cheap host. and Live chat always their with fast replies.

If I know they do that before I go with GoDaddy. I can save money in that time.

They deactivated my account because of a demo page, which I installed as a test, it's an ordinary wordpress page and template, everything was demo mode, lorem impsum, but they wrote that it was fraudulent activity, I wrote to them...Ler Mais to check and see for themselves yes it was a demo but they didn't react, they didn't allow me to take backups, they deactivated my 4 domains and 4 sites, I paid for hosting for 2 years, they also took the money I had on my account and didn't allow withraw.
I do not recommend this provider to anyone.Menos

The hosting provider is very unprofessional. For a shared hosting that cost several hundreds of dollars, you wake up to your account blocked for no reason. If you have one domain that goes against privacy policy they shut down yo...Ler Maisur hosting account and any other domain under your main account without providing you with your backup for other domains.Menos

so they shut down your malware site and your knitting site got caught in the crossfire and now they wont let you reinstate your account to get the backup of the knitting site because you were infecting computers with malware? And ...Ler Maisyour knitting client is pissed because they didnt send out any malware, you did under the same account you put her knitting site so you could save money. So this is all namecheaps fault? come on dude...Menos

I also experienced it, they are thieves behind the masks of big companies. They returned my money to their balance but I can't get into my account because they blocked it unilaterally.

I have been a customer of namecheap for over fifteen years. All was going pretty well until spammers got access to my email account and sent out spam. I followed their tech support advice and changed my password, ran a virus sca...Ler Maisn (and provided them proof as requested) and my email was again operable. Fast forward to this happening for a THIRD time. The Legal and Abuse Team did not offer any kind of support when I requested assistance, they treated ME as if I were the offender. My email was my OWN NAME; why would I send out spam in my own name?? In any case, my email, which I have been using for several years, was permanently suspended. I requested a temporary access in order to download important documents and my contact list. Denied! The fact that I had been a loyal customer, paying on time, meant nothing. They looked at me as a spammer and offered absolutely zero assistance in ensuring my email, and my account, would stay in good standing. So much for loyalty. VERY disappointed.Menos

so you kept getting infected with a virus that was spamming from your email account and though you were able to clean it a few times, you were unable to prevent your computer from being repeatedly infected which in turn was spammi...Ler Maisng out emails to try to infect other computers through namecheaps email servers. What would you propose they do? Keep allowing you to (unknowingly) send out emails packed with a virus that you yourself are already suffering the consequences of, over and over again or do they stop it from happening by suspending the account. As one of the people out here not infected with your virus, I gotta side with them on this one.Menos

Certainly your right to side with whomever you wish. No arguments from me :)

What would I have them do? Work. With. Me. I made every attempt to comply, got so many tickets opened and closed it was extremely frustrating. LO...Ler MaisNG story short...It seemed to me that customer support was protecting the scammers and not me, their long-time client.

As it ended up, it's been resolved after I publicly communicated with someone on their Facebook group. Thank goodness as their website support did nothing. I hope they make changes to their tech support going forward. You'll see other clients dealt with poor tech support if you read earlier reviews.

Here's to staying virus-free; Covid or otherwise! :)
