I signed up with A Small Orange despite seeing many bitter reviews on the internet. I've been using ASO shared (small) plan for 3 months. Never experienced any issue with their service. I've monitored my website uptime with J... Mais etpack plugin of wordpress and tested speed, server response time regularly. Never experienced any downtime in last 3 months. Pingdom shows my website is faster than the 98% website. Actually, so far I'm very happy with their service.
It is true that their support ticket is very slow and they took almost two weeks to reply my ticket about registering a new domain. But I never had to wait more than 3 minutes to get live chat support. My ticket was solved instantly via live chat.
Another good thing about ASO is their server name and user area interface is very unique and user friendly.

Só para você ter uma ideia da economia que eu tenho, se eu fosse hospedar o mesmo site em uma hostgator da vida aqui no Brasil, iria me custar 200 Reais a mais!! (em torno de 60 USD)
Sobre suporte, é realmente rápido, você é respondido no mesmo dia mesmo que a prioridade do ticket seja baixa. Suporte incrivel. Menos

Used to be decent, gone wayyyyy downhill in recent years. Atrocious customer service, they WILL frequently make mistakes and not adhere to what they tell you at all. Double-billed me for two years strait w/o notice. Failed ... Mais to process refunds correctly. DNS errors left and right. refuses to take responsibility or even offer a small discount. Awful company, idiotic customer support, they literally could not give a single sh*t
Will be taking my business elsewhere as soon as the year expires.
Beyond spotty service, their web portal is impossible to use - literally looks like it hasn't been changed since 2004. Menos
Avoid them as you can. After 8 years of being their customer, hundreds of $ spent, after a little, few months break, I decided to buy some simple shared hosting for a couple of my landing pages for domains I'm going to sell. ... Mais
And AFTER I ordered the hosting and PAID for everything for TWO YEARS in advance using PayPal, they contacted me saying, that they refuse to provide the service because I used a VPN!!! Can you imagine? 3/4 of TECH YouTubers advertise VPNs, recommend using them all the time, but HawkHost has not noticed that yet in 2022, and accuses and insults it's own customers! PayPal, Amazon, Google, banks, even this TrustPilot - nobody has problem with VPNs, but them!
So why didn't they just block that possibility, with an information to the customer to disconnect from VPN and try again? Why? Because they simply don't know HOW, they are unprofessional and they fear of VPNs, which means, that they must have been badly hacked or exploited by hackers using VPNs multiple times in the past. They still don't know how to defend themselves from that, so they primitively accuse all people using VPNs of bad intentions.
I also spotted, that they don't add VAT to any invoices for EU customers, so if you live in Europe, be prepared for significant price increase in the near future, because I'm going to report that. This is, by the way, an unfair competition against other hosting companies, who pay their taxes to the EU. Menos
